TMI SEIKO NH38A Automatic
Updated 01/10/2024
User Guide:
Congratulations on your new custom watch! This guide will help you understand how to operate and care for your timepiece, powered by the reliable NH38A automatic movement.
Understanding Your Watch
- Automatic Movement: The NH38A is an automatic (self-winding) movement. It's powered by the motion of your wrist. A rotor inside the watch winds the mainspring as you move.
- Manual Winding: You can also manually wind the watch.
- Hacking (Seconds Stop): The NH38A features hacking, meaning the seconds hand stops when you pull out the crown. This allows for precise time setting.
- Single Crown Position: This watch has a single crown position for both setting the time and manual winding.
Setting the Time
- Pull the Crown Out: Pull the crown out to its only available position. The second hand will stop.
- Turn the Crown: Rotate the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to set the correct time.
- Push the Crown Back In: Once the time is set, push the crown all the way back in. Ensure it is fully seated.
Manual Winding
If your watch has stopped or hasn't been worn for a while, you can manually wind it:
- While the Crown is Pushed In: Turn the crown clockwise about 20 times. You'll feel slight resistance. Do not force it.
- After Winding (if necessary), Set the Time (if necessary): If you need to wind the watch because it has stopped, you may then need to set the time as described above.

Water
This watch is designed to withstand pressure up to 5 ATM, but to keep it in top condition and maintain your warranty, we recommend handling it as if it were water-resistant to 3 ATM. 3 ATM Water Resistance: A Quick Guide
Suitable for: Splashes, handwashing and rain is fine, but avoid swimming or showering.

Regular Servicing: Schedule regular professional servicing to ensure the seals and gaskets remain in good condition.
Gentle Cleaning: Clean your watch with a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
